Obituary: 

         

            Joyce C. Loman Shelton, 70 of Cabool, MO, asleep with Jesus on Friday, August 10, 2012.  She was born on January 1, 1942 at the Christian Hospital in St. Louis, MO the beloved daughter of Francis Kent and Alice (Rossman) McReynolds.

            Joyce was active in the Missouri Council for the Blind (MCB), the First United Methodist Church and the Trinity Freewill Baptist Church.  She also participated in many fundraisers over the years along with educating and sharing her knowledge about leader dogs as companions.

            Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; her dear sister, Jean (McReynolds) Jakoubek; her longtime companions, her leader dogs, Rusty and Hattie.  She is survived by her husband, David Shelton; three children, Barbara Loman, Debra Lewis and husband, Terry and Kenneth Bess and wife, Kay; her grandchildren, Steven and Jason Loman, Jeremy Mullins, Tim Lewis, Kristy Bess Crosby, Casey Bess, Tyler Bess and Tiffany Bess; great grandchildren, Brandon and Dominique Loman, Jack and Eliza Crosby and Emma Rose; as well as many other blended family members and friends.  She will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
