Obituary:

Agnes Marie Hines, 88 of Elk Creek, MO passed away on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at her home. She was born on September 21, 1923 near Tarkio, MO the daughter of Charles and Della (Brooks) Hicks. Agnes was raised in the Mtn. Grove area and was baptized in her youth.

Agnes was united in marriage to James Estle Hines on April 10, 1941 in Cabool, MO and to this union four children were born, James Edgar, Judy Marie, Charlotte Ann and Leslie Estle. She felt that her greatest accomplishment in life was her family. She enjoyed sewing, embroidery and quilting; but most of all was the wonderful family gatherings.

Agnes was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Estle Hines; a son, James Edgar Hines; a daughter, Charlotte Ann Haskins; a grandson, James Scott Hines; four great grandchildren; a brother, Homer Hicks and a sister, Alma Norris. She is survived by her daughter, Judy Marie Current; her son, Leslie Estle Hines; 19 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; a brother, Charles Hicks, Jr.; as well as numerous other relatives and friends. She will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her.
