Alice Irene Cook Manning was born March 19, 1948 in Cabool, Missouri, to Uhlan "Bud" Cook and Lily Sullivan Cook. Alice passed away October 30, 2011 at Kabul Nursing Home, Cabool.

Alice worked as a nurse's aide at Baxter Nursing Home in Mtn. Home, Arkansas. She later worked at Missouri Home Care in West Plains, Missouri, where she became field supervisor and worked as long as her health permitted.

Alice was married to Roy Walter Manning, Jr. in 1971. She had one son, Roy Walter Manning III.

She was preceded in death by her father, Uhlan "Bud" Cook; her maternal grandparents, Zella Flo Walls and Orvill Sullivan, Sr.; an uncle, Floyd "Toots" Sullivan; her paternal grandparents, Victoria and T.U. Cook; and an aunt, Alice Irene Cook.

She is survived by her husband, Roy Manning, Jr.; her son, Roy Manning, III; her mother, Lily Cook; her brothers, John Cook, James Cook and wife Sena, and Rick Cook and wife Karen; her sisters, Linda Cantrell and husband Lester, Mary Woods and husband Carol, and Kathy Dugger and husband Mike; her aunts, Betty and George Taylor and Lelia Sullivan; many adored nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends.
