Arlene Adele Lasley, 62 of West Plains, MO and formerly of Cabool, MO passed away Thursday, May 19, 2011 at her home in West Plains, MO. She was born on September 28, 1948 in Santa Monica, CA the daughter of Jay Dee and Dorlene (Sullens) Spencer.
Arlene passed away peacefully in her home. She was on this earth 62 years, 7 months and 26 days. She lived the first half of her life in California before moving to this area in the late 70's to be closer to her family. Her family was a very important part of her life, she loved spending time with others and enjoying the simpler things in life. She was honest and supportive to all those around her. She always found humor in life's situations and passed that same sense of humor on to her sons. Arlene loved to laugh and have a good time.
Arlene was a wonderful daughter, sister, mother, aunt and grandmother. She loved spending her time with friends and family. She was a laid back and easy going person. Arlene's life had its struggles, but she always made the best out of life's challenges.
Arlene was preceded in death by her father, Jay Dee Spencer and her step-father, Howard Morrison. She is survived by her mother, Dorlene Morrison of West Plains, MO; her three sons, Raymond Morrison and wife, Sharon of Cabool, MO, Mark Morrison of Bolder, CO and Bryan Lasley of Farmington, MO; two sisters, Julie Spencer and Lydia Morak and husband, Jimmy all of West Plains, MO; 8 grandchildren, Katie, Kelsey, Laura, Joel and Megan Morrison and Matt, Bailey and Markus Lasley; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends. She will be dearly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
