Obituary:

Betty Lou Carroll, 87 of Cabool, MO departed this life on Oct. 8, 2010 at her home. She was born on March 15, 1923 near Simmons, MO the daughter of William "Bill" and Gladys (Ingram) Rimel.

Betty was united in marriage to Troy E. Mead on Nov. 1, 1943 and to this union two children were born, Diannia Lea and Gary Dewayne. Troy preceded her in death on June 15, 1954. She was united in marriage to Ellsworth Carroll on Dec. 8, 1955; he would precede her in death on July 7, 1987.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands and her daughter, Diannia. She is survived by her son, Gary Mead and wife, Janet; grandsons, Troy and JR Mead, Scott Johnson, Jeffrey Johnson and wife, Gail; great grandchildren, Jaydra and Will Johnson, all of Cabool; her sister, Eva Marie Hartman of Texas; and a brother, Junior Rimel of Arkansas; as well as several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
