Betty Hartman Rees, 85 of Mtn. Grove, MO passed away on Saturday, October 11, 2014 at Ash Grove Healthcare. She was born on February 27, 1929 at Summersville, MO the daughter of Guy and Ellen (Lynch) Hartman. The Hartman's had 12 children with three dying at an early age.

Betty loved her family very much; her family worked hard as World War II was raging and times were hard. The Hartman family was the first to help you if needed it and were very well liked in their community. All but one of Betty's brothers fought in several wars; one brother, Gene had the highest medals you could get in four different battles.

Betty was united in marriage to Denver Rees in 1945 and to this union three children were born. They would have celebrated their 70 ^th anniversary in March of 2015. Betty was saved at an early age and rededicated her life in 2008. She would tell you, when she was young, how she and the other children rode to church in a horse and buggy.

Betty was a wonderful painter and left many painting for her children. She had been in the nursing home for several years and the nurses said Betty was the most undemanding person they had ever cared for. She always wanted everyone to be taken care of before herself.

Betty left this earth on October 11 to go home with her Lord, Jesus. She told her daughter, Thursday, Oct. 9 that her mother and Jesus were coming to take her home soon. In Betty's children's eyes, she was almost perfect, but none is perfect but Jesus and she was the first one to tell you that.

Betty is survived by her husband, Denver of Mtn. Grove; her daughter, Connie Mallon of Springfield, MO; her son, Randy Rees of Cabool, MO; four grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Her children and grandchildren loved her dearly; she was the most loving mother a child could have. She will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her.
