Billie Patsy Hanna, 80 of Cabool, MO passed away on Thursday, March 22, 2012 at the Cox Medical Center South in Springfield, MO.
She was born on January 14, 1932 in Littlefield, TX the daughter of Cecil Clayton "Jack" and Minnie Myrtie (Burton) Robison.
Billie was the fourth child of seven.
She attended school in Littlefield and graduated with the class of 1949. She was very active in school plays and loved being a cheerleader- a role she continued as a mother.
In January of 1950, Billie married the boy across the street, Jack Edward Hanna. Early in their marriage, the young couple moved back and forth from Texas to Missouri to be closer to Jack's parents. Their children, Tammy and Brenda were born in Texas and Karla and Clay were born in Missouri. Billie loved her role as a homemaker and stay-at-home mom, but added bookkeeper to her job description when Hanna Brothers Plumbing was formed in the early 1960's. In the 1980's she took on the role of cook at Cabool Schools where she used her love of cooking to serve the children there. She retired when Jack's health began to deteriorate. She was a member of the Cabool Christian Church, but in recent years had attended the Cabool Methodist Church with other family members.
Billie is survived by four children, Tamara Hemsath and husband, Eric of Cabool, MO, Brenda Spies and husband, Gary of Springfield, MO, Karla Clark and husband, Jim of Cabool, MO and Clay Hanna and wife, Marilyn of Nixa, MO; one brother, Jack Robison and wife, Dee of Springfield, MO; one sister, Doris Fry and husband, Frank of Houston, MO; 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
