Billy Eugene Hamilton, 82 of Cabool, MO passed away on August 13, 2017 at Cox South Medical Center in Springfield, MO after a very short illness.  He was born on September 19, 1934 in Solo, MO the only son of Archie and Fern (Smith) Hamilton.

Bill grew up in the Solo area and attended Houston and Cabool Schools and was a member of the New Hope Church at Solo after being saved at a young age.

Bill was united in marriage to Patsy Jean Parmenter in December 1961.  He worked many jobs with the public; driving school buses, gas truck, ambulance and a rural mail carrier until his retirement in 1996.  At this point he started redoing antique wood furniture, making it look beautiful again.  Bill enjoyed fishing and lawn work; he mowed the Steely Chapel Cemetery for years and took a big interest in the community, attending the Steely Chapel Church and later, the Bethel Church at Elk Creek, MO.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Archie and Fern Hamilton; grandparents and many aunts, uncles and cousins.  He is survived by his wife, patty of the home; two sisters, Merlene Raleigh and Beverly (Dale) Bennett; three nephews who he loved to fish with from toddlers to present; brother-in-law, Bill Parmenter and wife, Marge; many Parmenter family nephews and nieces; as well as a host of friends.  Bill never met a stranger.
