Obituary:

Buddie Carmack, 78 of Mtn. Grove, MO passed away on Monday, June 14, 2010 at the Cox South Medical Center in Springfield, MO. He was born on Sept. 17, 1931 in Deer, Arkansas the son of Mitchell B. and Nettie (Norton) Carmack.

He attended school in Deer, AR and graduated from Cabool High School. After graduation he joined the US Air Force, serving a total of four years; two of which were spent in Okinawa, Japan. Buddie was united in marriage to Kathryn Sutherland of Mtn. Grove on July 24, 1955 and to this union one son, Joel L. Carmack was born. After their marriage they moved to Detroit, MI where he attended electronics school.

In 1961, they moved to St. Charles, MO and he went to work for the Federal Aviation Administration in the Electronics Division at Lambert Field in St. Louis, MO until his retirement in 1989 and in 1995 they moved back to Mtn. Grove.

Buddie was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Harold; one sister, Velma and a nephew. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Kathryn of the home; his son, Joel; grandson, Cody; two sisters, Mary Sue Weaver of Mtn. View, MO and Jenny Rader of Cabool, MO; as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins and friends. He will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him.
