Bulas "Gabby" H. Volner, 51 of Cabool, MO passed away on Monday, Oct. 23, 2023, at his home. He was born on Feb. 1, 1972, in Mansfield, MO, the son of Charles and Ruby Kennedy. Gabby graduated from Mountain Grove High School in 1990.

Right out of high school in 1990, Gabby went to Fort Benning for Infantry training and graduated in Jan. of 1991. After training, he went to Germany for two years and then Carson for two years and was ranked E4 Specialist. He received many awards from the Army and was honorably discharged in 1994. Right after the Army, Gabby worked as a welder then went to truck driving school in 96' and drove semis for many years. He loved to drive the semis but with health issues he had to stop driving. He loved to be outdoors, fishing or finding something to do.

Gabby met Donna Johnson, through her sister in 1995 and just over a year later they were married on January 27, 1997; sharing then next 26 years together. Gabby had so many titles; husband, father, son, brother, friend and neighbor, no one was a stranger to him.

Gabby leaves behind his parents, Charles and Ruby Kennedy; his siblings, Rosemary Eastburn (Gary), Randy Volner, Loretta Burton, Chuck Kennedy (Crystal), Bobby Kennedy (Anne) and Jessie Kennedy; his wife, Donna Volner; his daughter, Brooke Kowitz (Bryce); two grandchildren, Brylee and Braxton Kowitz; mother in-law, Nancy Slater (Tim); sister in-law, Sandi Stewart (Billy) and Sherry Johnson; dear friends that helped a lot his last few years, Marry Butts and Roger Davids; as well as many uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews and nieces. Gabby will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him
