Charles H. Owens, 90 of Willow Springs, MO passed away on July 22, 2021 at the Willow Care Nursing Home. He was born on May 5, 1931 to James and Dora (Neal) Owens of Shannon County, MO and was the youngest of eight children.
Charles was married to Eunice Hicks on October 15, 1948 in Springfield, MO. They spent five years in Sutherland, Oregon and upon returning to Missouri moved to Willow Springs. They were the founders of Blue Buck Mt. Full Gospel Church, Willow Springs. He pastored the church for many years. During those years, they were blessed by getting to travel to Israel and being involved in Missions Ministry in Haiti, Jamaica and Mexico; as well as Prison Ministry to inmates in Missouri facilities.
Upon retirement, he enjoyed woodworking, gardening and playing his antique piano. He was a gentle, loving man and was cherished by all that knew him.
Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Eunice; his parents; his older siblings, Jesse, Glen, James, Joe, Clara (House), Cleea (Shipley) and Esther (Jones) and a grandson, John Mark. He is survived by his children, Randy Owens and wife, Sherry of Willow Springs and Judy Thompson and husband, Ken of Black Mountain, NC; grandchildren, Joshua Owens of Willow Springs and Stuart Thompson of Varnville, SC; great grandchildren, Mason Owens and Rylee Thompson; sisters-in-law, Christine McDaniel and husband, Gene of Willow Springs and Zelma Owens of Pueblo, CO.
