Mrs. Clematis Inez "Jo" Palmer, 88 of Cabool, MO passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2012 at the Kabul Nursing Home. She was born on January 2, 1924 in Huntington, AR the daughter of James and Ida (Kennedy) Almond.

Jo was united in marriage to Falus Palmer, Jr. on August 18, 1946. She worked with him for many years in auction sales and at the Cabool Livestock Auction. She also worked many years in the office at the Thompson Sale Barn, Shannon Sale Barn and Kelly Sale Barn. Jo made many lifelong friends at work; she thought of them as her family. She liked to wear nice clothes and making a good appearance. She enjoyed taking drives and traveling, especially Las Vegas, Hot Springs and California. Her family was very important to her, she loved all her family but her grandchildren and great grandchildren were very special to her.

Jo was a member of the United Methodist Church since April 10, 1955; she was very active in church and with the church yard sales as long as her health permitted.

Jo was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Falus Palmer, Jr of the home; one son, Ronald Palmer; granddaughter, Stephanie Dann and husband, Chris; three great grandsons, Charles, Stephen and Phillip; as well as numerous friends. She will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
