Connie Lynn Preston 63, passed away in her home on May 27, 2026. Connie was born on August 30, 1962 to James Alvin Preston and Margaret Ann Mofield (Smith) in Cabool, MO.

Connie spent her childhood between Cabool, where she spent summers on her fathers farm with her stepmom and sisters and the school year with her mother and sister. As a child she always enjoyed traveling, visiting family and friends and hanging out with the neighborhood kids. As Connie came into adulthood she became a mother to four beautiful daughters Tara, Brittany, Paige and Jamie. As she got older she cherished visiting with the girls and their kids, running around with her sister, Susie, and going to yard sales and thrift stores looking for a good deal. She also had a deep love for her animals, especially Roxy.

Connie was preceded in death by her father, James Alvin Preston; mother Margaret Ann Smith; two daughters, Tara Preston and Brittany Kirkwood; sister, Susan Smith and two nephews, Timothy Smith and Jame "Brad" Smith.

She is survived by her step mother, Murlene Preston of Cabool; daughter, Paige Preston, and her children, Nyla Burleson, Brody Burleson, Winter Burleson and Summer Burleson all of Mtn. Grove; daughter, Jamie Watters and her children, Lorwyn Kurtzer, Silas Kurtzer, Jemma Kurtzer, Jonathan Roquet and Onyx Roquet of Nebraska City, Nebraska; grandsons from her daughter Tara Preston, Lucas Orr and Austyn Orr; grandchildren from her daughter Brittany Kirkwood, Jessalyn Farris, Kaydence Kirkwood and Wyatt Kirkwood; sister Melissa Young and husband, Billy of Hallyille, Texas; brother, Robert Smith and girlfriend, Brittany Bruce and children, Lilly Smith, Isaac Bruce, and Jase Smith of Cabool; sister, Stormy Preston and children, Brandon Rutz, Preston Rutz, Hailey Rutz, and Sadie Rutz of Cabool; niece, Shanda Holt and husband, John of Mtn Grove; as well as all of her great nieces, nephews and cousins. Connie was a sweet soul who will be deeply missed by all of her friends and family.
