Connie Joan Young, 63 of Cabool, MO passed away on May 13, 2014 at the Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains, MO after a long battle with COPD. She was born on March 7, 1951 in Bendavis, MO the daughter of Lee and Mary Shelley.
Connie enjoyed cooking and ran her own restaurant for several years in Hartville until her health no longer permitted. The last few years she was a caretaker for her parents. Monday and Friday nights and any pay per view night you could find her glued in front of the TV cheering on her favorite wrestlers.
Connie was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Young and a brother, David Shelley. She is survived by her parents, Lee and Mary Shelley of the home; a son, Jr; a daughter, Angie; her brother, Larry Shelley of Cabool, MO; four sisters, Linda Baker of Huggins, MO, Rita Preece of Cabool, MO, Kathy Manning of Mtn. Grove, MO and Debbie Schiewtez of Mtn. Home, AR; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends who will all sadly miss her.
