Obituary:

Dallas Eddie Grogan, 77, passed away July 6, 2019 at his home in Elk Creek, MO.  He was born on May 19, 1942 in Grogan, MO to Archie Wilson and Jewell Irene (Shelton) Grogan.

Dallas completed 8 years of schooling at Grogan Grade School and 2 years at Cabool High School.  In 1975, Dallas married Sheila, the love of his life, and they lived in Massachusetts.  He obtained employment at a plastics factory and quickly moved into management positions.  For several years prior to retirement, he owned and operated D & S Plastics in Springfield, MA and had a partnership in Plastic Resources in West Field, MA.  Following his wife's death, Dallas returned to Texas County, MO.

Dallas was preceded in death by his parents, Archie and Jewell Grogan; wife, Sheila; sister, Freda Westman and brothers-in-law, Robert Ostlund and Ruby Atkisson.  He is survived by 5 sisters:  Betty French (husband Terry) of Western Grove, AR; Linda Rennick (husband Jerry) of Rolla, MO; Lois Ostlund, Glenda Atkisson, and Caroline Grogan of Niangua, MO; 9 nieces; 5 nephews; and caregiver Wendy Smith and family (Pablo and 4 children).  Dallas considered Wendy and her family as his family.  Wendy was caregiver for both Dallas and his wife, Sheila, at the end of their lives.
