Obituary:

David Wayne Maupin, 60 of Mtn. Grove, MO and formerly of Cabool, MO passed from this life into his heavenly home on Saturday, April 4, 2020. He was born in Wichita, Kansas on October 11, 1959 to William R. Maupin and Martha Lou (Maupin) Floerchinger. David attended and graduated from Cabool High School with the Class of 1978.

David was a member of and baptized at Maness Memorial Baptist Church in Cabool, MO.  He called many places home: Rockford, IL; Philadelphia, PA; Wilmington, DE; Minneapolis, MN; Cabool, MO; Tyler, TX; Harrison, AR; Ogden, UT; Hattiesburg, MS; Cincinnati, OH; Salt Lake City, UT; The Philippines; and Mountain Grove; MO. He was a man of many professional talents, from mechanic and funeral director to managing and leading call centers around the globe.

David was extremely loving and proud of his only son, Elijah (Eli) Maupin (born from marriage to Kandra Louise Rabe) and blessed to have four grandchildren that affectionately called him "Lolo", which means grandfather in the Filipino Tagalog language. He was a great cook and loved cooking for family and others, including Rockbridge Resort patrons and Beth-Eden Bible Campers. He loved a wide variety of music, liked to recommend new (and old) songs that he discovered, and played the banjo. He had a sharp wit, an infectious laugh, and a wonderful sense of humor. He will be deeply missed, especially by his "little pal buddy" (Eli).

David was preceded in death by his father, William R. Maupin; his mother, Martha Lou (Maupin) Floerchinger; and his brother, Michael W. Maupin. Surviving him are his son, Elijah (Eli) D. Maupin (wife Donna) of South Weber, UT; his grandchildren, Kaomi, Kaelyn, Jocelyn, and Asher Maupin; his brothers, Tom Maupin (wife Fran) of Cabool, MO, and Patrick Maupin (wife Jennifer) of Branson, MO; his niece, Amber Jensen (husband Jesse) of Springfield, MO; his nephew, Jordan Maupin of Creve Coeur, MO and his girlfriend, Alva Villaluz Manalo of Dubai.
