Obituary:

Donald "Don" D. Wilson, 78 of Cabool, MO passed away on October 23, 2017.  He was born on August 11, 1939 in Arrowsmith, IL the son of William and Bennie (Phelps) Wilson.  Don accepted the Lord as his savior and was saved on September 3, 2017.

Don graduated from Roberts-Thawville, IL in 1957 and shortly after graduation he enlisted in the US Army.  He proudly served in the Army and received numerous awards.

Don was united in marriage to Denise Ann Bradford on Dec. 12, 1984 and to this union two children were born.  His main passion in life was dirt track racing; if he wasn't behind the wheel you could catch him watching races, camping and fishing with family and friends.  He enjoyed watching his children in their sports events, his greatest joy was when his granddaughter was born in 2012, she was the center of his world.  He was a well-known mechanic for many different companies in the community for many years and was known for his generosity and was always will to lend a helping hand.

Don was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Ronald "Wayne" Wilson.  He is survived by his loving wife, Denise of the home; four children, Rendy Ann Wilson of Cottage Grove, OR, Matthew Trent Wilson and fiancé, Anju Matthews of Cabool, MO, Ashley Dawn Ellingwood and husband, Eddie of Cabool, MO and Eva Aileen Wilson of Cabool, MO; four grandchildren, Tristian and Andrew of Cottage Grove, OR, Paysley Dawn Ellingwood known to Papa as his "bear cub" of Cabool, MO, Rachana of Cabool, MO and one grandson on the way, due in March 2018; his sisters, Betty Hawn and husband, Harold of Urbana, IL and Margie Rhode of Pontiac, IL; many nieces, nephews, great and great great nieces and nephews; a special friend, Chuck Smith of Cabool; as well as many other family and friends
