Obituary:

Donald "Junior" Elliott, 64 of Cabool, MO passed away on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at the Kabul Nursing Home.  He was born at Cabool, MO on July 19, 1952 the son of Donald, Sr. and Isabell Jane Elliott.

He attended Cabool Schools before moving to Thief River Falls, MN to work at a sugar beet plant and he also purchased and operated a wheat farm.   He returned to Cabool in 1978 with his farm tractors in tow to assist with the family farm and was employed as a custodian at Cabool Elementary School.

Junior enjoyed tinkering with classic vehicles and farm machinery.   He loved visiting with family, friends and neighbors.  Another hobby was cooking and baking, and a specialty of his was chocolate oatmeal cake.  He enjoyed hunting and hosting deer camp for family and friends.  As a treat during deer camp on Sunday mornings, he would cook pancakes and chocolate syrup for the hunters.

His health has declined for many years and he resided at Kabul Nursing Home the past 16 years.   Donald was preceded in death by his parents Donald and Isabell Elliott, and siblings Rex Elliott and Margaret Smith.   He is survived by his siblings Kimberly Elliott, Donna Jones, John Elliott and Sue Nettles as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and one uncle.  Junior had a big heart and will be missed by family, friends and his family of caregivers at Kabul Nursing Home.
