Obituary:

Donnie Lee Brown, 80 of Willow Springs, MO departed this life on January 6, 2021 at the Willow Care Nursing Home. He was born on May 9, 1940 near Cabool, MO the son of Guy and Lois (Lovan) Brown.

In early years, Donnie helped on his parents dairy farm near Topaz Mill where he would milk, harvest hay and perform repairs and maintenance on the farm equipment and vehicles. Donnie graduated from Cabool High School as an excellent student and football player where he was honored as team Captain. Once he graduated he enlisted and served in the United States Air Force.

Donnie worked several years for John Matthieu's 7UP bottling company where he ran a delivery route of primarily 7UP and RC Cola. This is probably where "Don Juan" acquired his unwavering affection for soda pop which of course would be accompanied by potato chips. Another love of Donnie was riding his motorcycle and 3 wheeled tractor around the Willow Springs community often stopping by A&W or one of the local cafe's where he would be sure to order extra pop with his meal. Of course when driving the tractor, proper gear was required and one would need an orange ski mask and motorcycle helmet (safety first).  Those in the family that knew Don best where keenly aware that any Christmas present for Don would most certainly include either lace up work boots, a watch, or flannel shirt of which he kept a running inventory of each.  For the past 14 years he was an active resident in Willow Care Nursing Home and was loved by all the caregivers there whom he affectionately addressed as "Hey Babe".  Leisure time there was enjoying his most favorite pass time of listening to country music on the radio and sipping on an orange crush.

Donnie was preceded in death by his parents, Guy T and Lois E (Lovan) Brown; two younger brothers, Dale Brown of Willow Springs and Lonnie Brown of Cabool.  He is survived by one sister, Patty G Brown White and husband, Jon of Rogersville, MO; five nieces, Jackie Feldman and husband, Richard (Cabool), Carla Davis and husband, Fred (Knob Noster), Lisa Green and husband, Bill (Willow Springs), Tammy Rawlings and husband, Stan (Lamar) and April Andersen and husband, Jim (Willow Springs); two nephews, Rance Brown (Cabool) and Ryan White and wife, Stephanie (Rogersville); eleven great nieces and nephews and two sisters-in-law, Ellen Brown (Cabool) and Linda Cain (Willow Springs). We will all miss you but rest in the fact that we will see you again. You were a good Son, Brother and Uncle to us all.  We love you, Don.
