Obituary:

Doris R. Hawks, 87 of Cabool, MO departed this life on May 23, 2013 at the Willow Care Nursing Home in Willow Springs, MO. She was born on March 11, 1926 near Cabool, MO the daughter of Charles and Edith (Gregory) Kidd.

Doris attended the Ozark Rural School in Howell County. She was united in marriage to Albert Bryant on May 15, 1943. Doris worked for many years at the Brown Shoe Company in Cabool where she eventually retired. After the death of her first husband, Albert; she was united in marriage to Edgar (Jack) Hawks on February 9, 1975. She enjoyed gardening, raising strawberries and visiting with friends. Before her health started failing she attended Pea Ridge Church faithfully.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; a twin sister, Delores Allison and step daughter, Irona Bottom and her husband, Orville. She is survived by her stepson, Jackie Hawks and wife, Joyce of Mtn. View; step granddaughter, Gloria Bottom and step grandson, Chuck Bottom both of Long Beach, CA; step grandson, Scott Hawks and wife, Lori of Mtn. View, MO; step granddaughter, Kimberly Allen and husband, Richard of Floyd, AR; and four nephews, Thurman, Donnie, Denny and Kenny Allison. She will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her.
