Obituary:
Doris Marie White Mayo, age 78, of Corning, New York, born on March 15, 1938 to Martha Woodard White and Arthur White, loving sister of the late Ronald White, Neil White, and Minnie Catherine "Pat" White McCallister, beloved mother of the late Brian Morley, Martha Morley Robichaux, Don Morley, Jr, the late Maelena Morley Mayeux, Craig Morley, Darin Morley, Douglas Morley and wife Bonnie, Karen Morley Molero, Teena Mayo Tricquet and husband Thomas, Robert Mayo, James Mayo and wife Amber, and grandmother to 23 children and 22 great-grandhildren; step-mother to Roy Mayo, Linda Mayo, Carol Mayo Volpi, John Mayo. And a host of many extended family members.A resident of Mountain Grove, MO for eleven years, Doris Mayo passed away peacefully in her home early Sunday morning, May 1st, 2016 in the caring company of her daughters Martha, Karen, Teena and long-time close friend and caregiver Brenda Richardson. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Her life was spent around her children and their families. She was truly the citadel of the family. Her passions included creating beautiful quilts, Afghans, dolls and clothing. She loved music; she was a dog-lover and became easily attached to each and every one of the animals that came into her care.
