Dorotha Beatrice Means was born on Jan. 7, 1933 the daughter of Oscar and Leona (Martin) Hunter and went home to be with her Lord on Sept. 30, 2022 at the age of 89.

Dorotha was united in marriage to Dennis Means and to this union four children were born. She was baptized at a young age and attended various churches throughout her lifetime.

Dorotha enjoyed spending time with her family and visiting with friends. If you ever drove by her house you would likely see her sitting on the porch sewing her quilt pieces, doing her puzzle books or just watching the cars go by.

Dorotha was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dennis; her daughters, Vivian Maxvill and Joyce Neher; her son, Lester Means; granddaughter, Sandra Maxvill, son-in-law, Louie Maxvill, daughter-in-law, Loraine Means and brothers, Cecil, Wayne and Dallas Hunter. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Stofer and husband, Bobby; brother, Delbert Hunter and wife, Cheryl; son-in-law, Darrell Neher; 12 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and 36 great great grandchildren. She will be missed by so many that knew and loved her.

The family would like to give special thanks to the Kabul Nursing Home for the love and care that she received while there and also to Texas County Memorial Hospital and Dr. Hawkins for all they did for her and her family.
