IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Earl E.
Rhodes, Jr.
March 27, 1953 – August 9, 2019
Earl E. "Butch" Rhodes, Jr., 66 of Cabool, MO passed away on Friday, August 9, 2019, at his home. Earl was the youngest son of Earl E. and Mary Ann Rhodes, born and raised in El Dorado, KS.
Earl joined the Army out of high school. After his discharge, he returned to the El Dorado and Augusta area for many years. The joy of his life was his son, Dustin Isaac Rhodes, born in 1982. Earl and Dustin moved to St. Croix, Virgin Islands when Dustin was a young adult. There, Earl was with the love of his life, Quintina Joseph and enjoyed his work in the local refinery. Those were the best years of his life until the death of his treasured Dustin in 2008.
Earl then moved to Cabool, MO where he lived until his death. He was in failing health for several years. Anyone who met Earl knew he was a rare character who didn't lead a predictable life. He could be stubborn, shocking and would take independence to unusual levels. However, to those he loved, he made sure to tell them that each time he talked to them. He never quit missing his son and looking forward to seeing him again. Earl now is with his Savior and reunited with his parents and son.
He is survived by Quintina, his brother, Vic Hann of Bellville, KS and sisters, Sue Ann Clay of Fall River, KS and Michelle Martin of Wichita, KS plus numerous nieces and nephews. Other survivors are Sherry Owens and Chris LeBlanc.
