IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Earlene
Pearson
July 1, 1937 – July 18, 2025
Phyllis Earlene Pearson was born on July 1, 1937, near Gravois Mills, Missouri at the rural home of Earl Raymond and Emma Grace Kelley Carver. Earlene was the middle child of three, her sister Jo Ellen and brother Jimmy were her sibling bookends for a lifetime.
During elementary school she attended Jenkins and Minnow Branch schools in rural Morgan County Missouri. At the age of fifteen she graduated with the class of 1953 at Stover High School in Stover, Missouri.
She launched herself into adulthood at the young age of sixteen when she married the love of her life, Roy Marwood Fischer at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Stover, Missouri on July 4, 1953. They soon moved to San Juan Capistrano, California. To this union two sons were born, Randal Mark and Roy Michael. Her husband Roy died a few years later. After his death they shared a home with a caretaker they affectionately called "Big Mama". Earlene, Randy, and Mike were baptized in Laguna Beach during that time. On July 7, 1967, she married James N. Pearson in Chula Vista, California. They decided to leave California and planted roots in Cabool that remain to this day. James preceded her in death in 2021.
Earlene had an uncanny way of facing the curveballs of life, and she led with faith, reading the entire Bible several times. She enjoyed her time with the friends of Randy, Mike, Kristy, Ryan, and Gunnar, thinking of them as family. She will be remembered as quiet, gentle, and humble with a little slice of ornery.
Earlene is survived by son, Roy Michael Pearson of Branson West; a brother, James (Helen) Carver of Trenton; nieces, Theresa of Jefferson City, Sandy (Randy) of Trenton and Connie (Steve) of Overland Park; nephew, Earl Lee of Sedalia; granddaughter, Krista (Heath) Bellingroehr of Cabool; grandson, Ryan Pearson of Cabool; great grandsons, Drew (Caitlyn) Curtis of Plato and Gunnar (Brooklyn) Pearson of Houston; great granddaughter, Avah Pearson of Cabool and great great grandchildren, Alex, Kailey, Colton, and Aubrey of Plato.
She is also preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Emma Grace; her sister, Jo Ellen and brother-in-law, Larry Sullins; her son, Randy and daughter-in-law, Renee Pearson and an infant grandson, Dakota Snyder.
In her younger years she enjoyed fishing, camping, painting, quitting and playing cards with friends. She was also an active member of the Older Iron Club while her health permitted. She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.
