Obituary:

Eddie J. Aldridge passed away on December 5, 2015 after a fight with cancer. Eddie was born to Earl and Florene (Keeter) Aldridge on October 5, 1942 in Cabool, Texas County, Missouri. He was the second of three sons and grew up playing and enjoying life in a small town.

After high school, Eddie enlisted in the Navy, serving in Viet Nam in 1964 and receiving his honorable discharge from the Navy in 1965. During this time, Eddie met and married Peggy Ann McFadden on August 15, 1964 in San Diego, California. To this union two sons were born, Joseph and Robert.

For many years, Eddie worked for San Diego Gas and Electric, providing well for his wife and sons and retiring in 1999. At that time, Eddie and Peggy moved to Cabool for their retirement years. He had a special interest in cars and restored many through the years, taking them from rusting hulks in a field with trees growing up through them to expertly restored antiques. All of the guys were welcome at Eddie's shop/hide-out called "The All Done Inn" where they talked cars and worked on Eddie's latest project.

Eddie was preceded in death by his father, Earl Aldridge.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Peggy, of the home; his sons, Joe and Rob, both of Escondido, California; three grandchildren, Amber, Amanda and Tyler of Escondido, California; his mother, Florene Morgan of Cabool; and two brothers, Earl Ray (Annie) and Gary (Julie) of Cabool.

Everyone enjoyed Eddie's sense of humor and appreciated his kindness to all. Eddie would help anyone.
