Obituary:

Edna Louise Strong, 87 of Cabool, MO departed this life on November 22, 2017 at her home.  She was born on November 9, 1930 near Cabool, MO the daughter of Fred and Nellie (Davis) Smith.

Edna was united in marriage to Bernie Strong on September 7, 1948 and to this union five children were born, Helen, Sandra, Dallas, Michael and Steven.  They were married for 36 years until his passing.

Edna was a stay at home mom until her kids were grown, she then went to work as a cook at the Kabul Nursing Home for the next 23 years until retirement.  Her family and especially her grandchildren were the light of her life.  She was a dedicated member of the Maness Memorial Baptist Church for many years.

Edna was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bernie; her daughters, Helen Sears and Sandra Wake; her sons, Michael and Steven Strong; three grandchildren, Dusty, Roger and Stacy; a great grandson, Alex and three sisters.  She is survived by her son, Dallas Strong and wife, Karen; 15 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren; six sisters and one brother; as well as numerous other relatives and friends.  She will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her.
