Obituary:

Edward Keith Evans, 78 of Elk Creek, MO passed away on Monday, June 11, 2018 at the Point Lookout Nursing Home in Hollister, MO. He was born on April 6, 1940 the son of Lester John and Pauline (Nelson) Evans.

Ed was raised in the Elk Creek area; attending grade school at Stultz and one year of Cabool High School. He was united in marriage to Betty Clark and to this union a daughter, Pamela was born. Ed was later married to Lucky Lois Carson and to this union a son, Eddie Joe was born.

Ed worked on ranches and farmed all his life; he loved hunting, fishing, his horse, Buck and especially his family. He also enjoyed collecting knives and guns.

Ed was preceded in death by his father, Lester and his second wife, Lucky Lois. He is survived by his daughter, Pamela Carder and husband, Gary of Mtn. Grove, MO; his son, Eddie Joe Evans of Elk Creek, MO; his mother, Pauline Matthis of Cabool, MO; grandchildren, Nocona Thompson, Kristy Huff and Mackenzie Evans; 7 great grandchildren; brother, Bill Evans and wife, Marti; a sister, Judy Strong and husband, Gene of Elk Creek, MO  and long-time friend and companion, Mary Ellen Gann. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
