Obituary:

Emily A. (Murphy) Karisny, age 44 of Jefferson City, MO, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, October 8th, 2020. Emily was born on December 14, 1975 in Houston, Texas to parents T.R. and Nina Murphy.

She lived in Columbia, Louisiana where she attended and graduated Columbia High School and was a member of Old Bethel Baptist Church in Clarks, Louisiana. She attended Louisiana State University and majored in business studies. She was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing, art, as well as researching and learning about the world her God lovingly created.

Emily was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Charles "Tom" Hancock; her paternal grandparents, Revis and Ruby Bell as well as J.T. Murphy. She is survived by her 3 children, Megan Britt of St. Louis, Missouri, Kara Karisny of Alton, Missouri and Jenna Karisny; her parents, T.R. and Nina Murphy of Marionville, Missouri and grandmother, Nancy A. Hancock of Columbia, Louisiana, along with a host of extended family.

Revelation 21:4 - He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.
