Ethel Fern Beltz, 81 of Cabool, MO went to her heavenly home on Dec. 29, 2022 with her family by her side. Fern was born on Feb. 1, 1941 the daughter of Elmer and Ethel (Starks) Beasley. She was raised on the family farm near Grove Springs, MO and attended Hartville High School, graduating with the Class of 1959.

On April 25, 1960 she was united in marriage to Virgil Beltz and to this union three sons were born, Gary, Jimmy and Wayne. She worked on the family farm raising their boys, milking cows and growing a big garden. Fern was always an excellent cook; after retiring from the farm and moving to town she started another twelve year career as a dietician at the Kabul Nursing Home.

Fern enjoyed gardening, sewing and quilting; she was known for her beautiful quilts. She also loved her family very much and enjoyed the family get togethers.

Fern was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Virgil Beltz; her brothers, Raymond, Everett, Norman, Hayden, Doyle and Dale Beasley; her sisters, Lura Beltz and Lillian Woods and her daughter-in-law, Anna Beltz. She is survived by her three sons, Gary and wife, Patty of Leeton, MO, Jimmy and wife, Darla of Mtn. Grove and Wayne of Cabool; her sister, Violet Jones of Norfolk, VA; 12 grandchildren, Michael Beltz and wife, Brittany, Jessica Fern Beltz and fiancé, Wade Coble, Miranda Niesen and husband, Ed, Sandy Mooneyham and husband, Eric, Tony Beltz, Jennifer Starnes and husband, Ethan, David Beltz and wife, Nicole, Russell Beltz and wife, Julia, Heath Rodgers and wife, Amanda and Kaleb Rodgers and wife, Erin; 27 great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. We will miss you Mom.
