IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Everett "Junior"
Boykin
June 27, 1947 – August 2, 2014
Everett "Junior" Boykin, 67 of Mtn. Grove, MO passed away on August 2, 2014 at the Cox Medical Center South in Springfield, MO. He was born on June 27, 1947 near Graff, MO the son of John and Thelma (Mayberry) Boykin.
Junior attended and graduated from Mtn. Grove High School. He was united in marriage to Celah Freels and to this union two sons, Daniel and Darian were born. He was passionate about the outdoors and loved to fish and hunt for small game.
In his later years, he loved to build things; such as hope chests for all three of his granddaughters, a wooden sailboat that his grandson asked him to build. The song, "I Did it My Way", sums it up best when describing him; he lived life his way, on his own terms and never compromised. How many people can say that?
Junior was preceded in death by his parents, John and Thelma Boykin. He is survived by his wife, Celah Boykin of the home; his sons, Daniel Boykin and wife, Becky and Darian Boykin and wife, Gina; two brothers, Lewis Boykin and wife, Lois and Phillip Boykin and wife, Judy; six grandchildren, AJ Cruce, Channing Boykin, Parker Boykin, Ashlyn Boykin, Shyane Boykin and Clay Boykin; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, brother and sister-in-laws and many friends. Junior will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
