Gail B. Underwood, 87 of Mtn. Grove and Cabool, MO passed away on Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at the Kabul Nursing Home. He was born on May 2, 1926 near Cabool, MO the son of the late Clinton and Virgie (Tate) Underwood.

Gail was united in marriage to Hazel Butts on August 12, 1947 at Simmons, MO; to this union two children were born, Linda and Gary. They worked the family farm for many years. He enjoyed deer hunting, working on and with antique tractors and farm equipment and spending time with his family. He was a very hard worker and took pride in taking care of his family and farm.

Gail was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, James and Francis. He is survived by his wife, Hazel of the home; his daughter, Linda Andrus of Mtn. Grove, MO; his son, Gary Underwood and wife, Norita of Mtn. Grove, MO; grandchildren, Gail Lynn Johnson and husband, Jeff of Cabool, MO, Vicki Bailey and husband, Brett of Mtn. Grove, MO and Aaron Underwood and wife, Alyssa of Joplin, MO; great grandchildren, Jadra and Will Johnson, Taylor and Sophia Bailey, Emma Underwood and a baby girl Underwood on the way; as well as several nieces and nephews. He will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
