Garry Eugene Heaslet, 58 of Elk Creek, MO passed away on Sunday, June 17, 2012 at the Cox South Medical Center in Springfield, MO. He was born on October 1, 1953 in Turlock, CA the son of Herschel and Mary (Rushing) Heaslet.

Garry attended school in Turlock, graduating in 1971. Growing up, Garry worked in his parents store and on the farm. Shortly after graduation he enlisted and served in the US Coast Guard.

He was united in marriage to Rebekah Hendon on June 30, 1974 and to this union five daughters were born. They moved from Turlock to Missouri in 1999 where they made their home until their passing. In recent years he accepted the Lord as his Savior and attended Maness Memorial Baptist Church in Cabool, MO. He always enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Garry was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 35 years, Rebekah; his father, Herschel and a sister, Shera. He is survived by his precious mother, Mary Heaslet and his grandson, Kevin Heaslet of Elk Creek, MO; daughter, LaDonna Ward and husband, Randy and their children, Justin, Levi, Matt and Christina of Lebanon, MO; daughter, Tammy Stidham and husband, Bobby and their children, Tyler and Trevor of Norwood, MO; daughter, Tanya Lansdown and husband, Kenny and their children, Deserae and Devon of Hartville, MO; daughter, Christina Heaslet and Randy Volner and children, Randy, Jordan, Christopher, Sabrina and Summer of Mtn. Grove, MO; daughter, Rochelle Sweat and husband, Tony and children, Anthony, Andrew and Alise of Cabool, MO; great granddaughter, Kaitlyn Thompson of Grovesprings, MO. Garry was a loving husband, father, son and friend; he will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved him.
