Gary Dewayne Mead Sr, 74 or Cabool MO departed this life on Feb 14, 2022 at his home. He was born on April 24, 1947 in a log cabin near Simmons, MO the son of Troy E. and Betty Lou (Rimel) Mead. Gary was raised by his mother and step father, Ellsworth Carroll after his father's death in 1954.

Gary was united in marriage to Janet S. Mead  on May 5, 1968 in Findlay, IL.  Of this union, two sons were born, Troy A. and Gary D. Mead, Jr.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents; his step father; his sister, Diannia Johnson and his wife, Janet. He is survived by his sons, Troy and Gary Mead Jr. as well as many nieces and nephews. He was always willing to lend a helping hand when he could and he will be greatly missed by those who knew him.
