Geraldine Akin, 78 of Cabool, MO passed away on Saturday, March 26, 2011 at the Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston, MO. She was born on June 16, 1932 in Mtn. Grove, MO the daughter of Ed and Ollie Etta (Hafner) Akin.

Geraldine graduated from Cabool High School in 1949 and enrolled at the Springfield College of Commerce in 1950. After receiving her degree in 1954 she worked for Honeycutt Chevrolet in Cabool for a while before starting a career with the Missouri Department of Transportation.

Geraldine enjoyed tending to her yard and flowers and she was especially fond of her cats. She was an avid bowler until her health prevented her from playing. She was a member of the Cabool First Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Ollie Etta Akin and her father, Ed Akin. She will be dearly missed by many friends.
