Obituary:

Geraldine Holbert, 90 of Cabool, MO entered eternity on April 29, 2019 at the Mercy Hospital in Springfield, MO.  She was born on January 23, 1929 in Houston, MO the daughter of Harry and Belle (McCart) Smith.

After growing up in Cabool she moved to Kansas for nearly 40 years. She returned to her hometown of Cabool in 1988 and remained here. Geraldine was a homemaker and later became a CNA. She loved being near her sisters and extended family. She was a member of Maness Memorial Baptist Church of Cabool.

Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Belle Smith and one sister, Faye Bennett. She is survived by her sons, Donald Smith (Karen), Haysville, Kansas and Duane Smith, Aurora, Illinois; two sisters, Nadine Cox and Norma Jackson and one brother-in-law, Harold Bennett; grandchildren, Melody Bryson (Lance), Duncan Wallace (Shannon Hahn), Jeremy Smith (Joanna) and Monica McCleary (Scott); nine great grandchildren and one great-great grandson; three nieces and six nephews, their spouses and a great number of great-nieces and great-nephews.
