Glen Fredrick McKean, 90 of Cabool, MO departed this life on May 24, 2023 at the Landmark Villa in Cabool, MO.  He was born in Walshville, IL on December 10,1932 the son of William and Nellie (Glenn) McKean.

At an early age the family moved from Illinois to Missouri where Glen attended a one room grade school at Simmion and Grogan Dist. 104; from there he attended Cabool High School and graduated with the class of 1953.

Glen served in the U.S. Army for two years before going to work at the U.S. Post Office in St. Louis from 1955 to 1958.  At the same time, he got a letter from Producer's Creamery in Cabool for an interview for a job opening in the lab, he went to work the next day and retired in 1994 after 36 years of service.

Glen was a longtime member of Maness Memorial Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, Sunday School supt. and teacher for many years.  Some of Glen's hobbies were woodworking and he loved to play softball.

In June of 1959, Glen was united in marriage to Elsie Lewis and they would enjoy 59 years 10 months together until her passing in 2019.

Glen was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Elsie; three brothers, Charles, Roy and Leo and one sister, Nola.  He is survived by his stepson, Earl Dean Lewis of Fredericktown MO; five grandchildren, Laura (Andrew) Michael of Fredericktown MO, Amanda (Justin) Davis of Foristell MO, Kelly (Holden) Meracle of Arcadia Valley MO, Joshua (Paige Graham) Lewis of Sullivan MO and McKenzie (Kevin Ross) Lewis of Fredericktown MO; nine great grandchildren, Liam and Aubree Michael, Timmy, Brooke, Madison and Austin Davis, Logan Meracle, Cambria Lewis and Ellie Ross; as well as several nieces and nephews.
