Obituary:

Helen Lorene (Borden) Clary was born on April 24, 1933 the daughter of Henry and Odessa (Deaton) Borden. She departed this life on November 30, 2018 at the Cox South Medical Center in Springfield, MO at the age of 85 with her daughters by her side.

Helen grew up on a small farm in the Fowler Community and graduated from Mtn. Grove High School in 1951. Shortly after graduation she met the love of her life, Bob Clary. They were married on October 18, 1956 at the Rev. Kurt Yarnell's home; three children were blessed to this union.

Bob and Helen enjoyed farming together and did so until Bob passed away in 1988. To keep busy, Helen went to work at the Mtn. Grove School District. She worked for 24 years, until she was forced to retire. Even though she was not happy about retirement, she found other activities to keep her busy. Helen loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren; and would often be seen at their school activities.

Helen loved the Lord; she was saved at an early age and reaffirmed her faith at a revival at the Cabool Baptist Church and was baptized along with her husband and oldest daughter. She was an active member of the Trinity United Methodist Church until her health began to fail.

Helen leaves behind a legacy of love. She taught us all to love one another, love unconditionally and never judge anyone's circumstances. She was happiest when doing something to benefit others. Her generosity and kindness will long be remembered.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bob; brothers, Clyde, Melvin and Delbert Borden and a great grandson, Ray William Neuroth. She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Sheppard (Ted), Mary Jane Coonts and Jana Neuroth (Darrell); sisters, Dorthy Stroud and Judy Clark; grandchildren, Trena Harker (Adam), Leslie Appleton (Sam), Jake Sheppard (Jackie), Brandy Coonts, Brandon Coonts, Carrie Prince (Adam), Channce Neuroth (Alexis) and Chad Neuroth (McKenzie); great grandchildren, Trenton and Payton Harker, Oliver and Willa Appleton, Madilyn, Lorayle and Isla Sheppard, Bentley and Wyatt Neuroth and Elijah, Arieanna and Sophie Bloom. She will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
