Obituary:

Helen Betty Curran, 79 of Mtn. Grove, MO passed away on Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at the Autumn Oaks Caring Center in Mtn. Grove after battling a long term illness for many years. Her battles on this earth are finally over. She was born on December 7, 1930 in Connersville, Indiana the daughter of James and Bessie (McGuire) Honaker.

Her childhood years were spent in Brownsville, Indiana where she finished Jr. High. She quit school to help care for her mother and siblings. She was active in church, even as a child. She met Norman G. Curran and they were united in marriage on October 9, 1948. They had four sons Norman R., Gary, David, and Rodney.

Helen has accomplished all that God set forth for her in this life. She was very active in her church. Up until and even through her illness she had a loving and caring way about her that everyone was drawn to. Her love for her family had no boundaries. She was always a caregiver to whoever needed it. Her unselfish way has been an inspiration to many throughout her life. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was an amazing person in so many ways and will be missed greatly by everyone whose lives she has touched.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents; six sisters; three brothers and two grandchildren, Nicole Curran and Austin Curran. She is survived by her husband, Norman of the home; four sons, Norman Ray Curran of North Vernon, IN, Gary Curran and wife, Cleo of Mtn. Grove, MO, David Curran and wife, Wendy of Norwood, MO and Rodney Curran and wife, Lori of Oxford, OH; 8 grandchildren, Jennifer Curran of Ohio, Samantha Curran of Ohio, Donnie Curran and wife, Michelle of Republic, MO, Cindy Finch and husband, Corey of Mtn. Grove, MO, Tom Bosse, Blake Bosse and John Bosse all of Spring Hill, FL, and Tiffanie Curran of Norwood, MO; 7 great grandchildren, Tyler, Kyle, Bradey, Owen, Kristen, Tommy and Matthew; one sister, Barbara Curran; three brothers, Carl Honaker, Quincey Honaker and Raymond Honaker; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. She will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her.
