Helen Louise Darter, 86 of Cabool, MO passed away peacefully at 6:15am, Saturday, April 2, 2016. She was born on December 15, 1929 in Clay Center, KS the daughter of Emil and Goldie (Bidwell) Gebhardt.

Helen was united in marriage to Paul Darter on August 25, 1946. She lived every day for her children and later for her grandchildren. Paul and Helen were always found together and were true soulmates. She had made many friends in the past three years while living in the Kabul Nursing Home.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paul; two daughters, Linda Furrow and Nancy Parsnow and one brother, Erine Gebhardt. She is survived by a son, Lonnie Darter and wife, Sally; three daughters, Maxine Beltz and husband, Bob, Pauline Woolman and husband, Larry and Wanda Barker and husband, Richard; a sister, Dorothy Cheney; three brothers, Richard, Kenny and Leonard Gebhardt; 15 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
