Obituary:
Hilda A. (Freemantle) Brust, 89 of Cabool, MO passed away on Monday, March 31, 2014 at her daughter and son-in-law's, Ellen and Randy Smith's home near Cabool, MO. She was born on Dec. 12, 1924 in Brunswick, NY the daughter of Cyrus and Edna (Coonradt) Freemantle.
Hilda was united in marriage to David Brust on April 8, 1944 and to this union 10 children were born. She enjoyed bowling, camping and crafting; but most of all spending time with her family and friends. David and Hilda moved from New York to Cabool in 1986.
Hilda was preceded in death by her parents; a son, David D. Brust and three brothers. She is survived by her husband of 70 years, David of the home; 9 children, Carol Denue, Nancy Mason, Susan Navarra, Sharon Smith, Betty Hall, Warren Brust, Laurie Marriner, Paul Brust and Ellen Smith; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and step grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her.Fill not your heart with pain and sorrow,
but remember me in every tomorrow.
Remember the joy, the laughter, the smiles,
I've only gone to rest a little while.
Although my leaving causes pain and grief,
my going has eased my hurt and given me relief.
So dry your eyes and remember me
not as I am now, but as I use to be.
Because I will remember you all and look on with a smile,
Understand, in your hearts, I've only gone to rest a little while.
As long as I have the love of each of you,
I can live my life in the hearts of all of you.
