Obituary:

Hurshel Richard Smallwood, 89 of Cabool, MO went to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 10, 2021 at his home. He was born on March 29, 1932 in Topaz, MO the son of James and Mellie (Wood) Smallwood. He graduated from Cabool High School with the Class of 1950 and served as the class president.

Hurshel moved to Fontana, CA and worked for Kaiser Steel Corporation; retiring in 1982 and moving back to Missouri in 1986. He was a faithful servant of God and was a member of Cabool General Bapstist Church. He was a father, dad, mentor and friend; he was loved by all.

Hurshel was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Mike; his daughter, Pattie; first wife, Lonna; sister, Larna and brothers, Junior, J.H and Felus. He is survived by his wife, Rena; sons, Ronnie Smallwood and wife, Judi, Kirk Hagan and wife Lynn, Jerry Hagan and wife, Lori and Dr. Rodney Reid and wife, Carrie; daughter, Sandy Berkshire; 10 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; 2 great great granddaughters and a host of family and friends
