Obituary:

James Dean Chronister, 46 son of Mickey and the late Ray Chronister was born April 17, 1968 and departed this life June 22, 2014 in the comfort of his home. James grew up in Cabool, MO and graduated with the class of 1986.

Shortly after graduation he joined the United States Marines and was stationed at Camp Pendleton, CA. James accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age and rededicated his life to the Lord just a few years ago. James spent his earlier years as a truck driver, which he dearly loved.

James was united in marriage to Janice Strunk on Feb 27, 2009. He adored his children, Makenzie and Jared, and his face would just light up when he talked of his grandson, Karson. James always had a smile on his face, a heart of gold, and was always ready and willing to help anyone in need.

James was employed with Grisham Farms, where he loved his job. He cherished the many friendships and memories he acquired there. He enjoyed watching Duck Dynasty, NASCAR, working with his hands, and he loved working on vehicles. James loved his dog, Payton Sue, that his daughter had given him, wherever he went the dog was by his side.

James was preceded in death by his father, Ray Chronister. He leaves behind his wife, Janice of the home; his daughter, Makenzie Chronister and grandson, Karson of Canonsburg PA; his son, Jared Chronister of Cabool; his mother, Mickey Chronister of Cabool; his sister, Tammy Lester of Ironton, MO; his brother, Gerald Chronister and wife, Sheri; his sister, Tina Osborn and husband, Michael, all of Cabool; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He will be dearly missed by many.
