James "Junior" F. Johnson, 83 of Mtn. Grove, MO passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2015 at his home. He was born on September 23, 1931 in Franklin County, AR the son of William and Minnie (Knuckles) Johnson.

Junior enlisted in the US Navy and proudly served until receiving his honorable discharge. On May 15, 1958 he was united in marriage to Lois June Brown and to this union four children were born, Linda, Douglas, Daniel and Lori.

Junior spent the majority of his working years as a truck driver until his retirement. He enjoyed hunting and fishing as long as his health permitted; but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.

Junior was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Karen; two brothers; four sisters and a grandson, Jason Castle. He is survived by his wife, Lois of the home; four children, Linda Verjan of St. Louis, MO, Douglas Johnson and wife, Roxanne of Gulf Port, MS, Daniel Johnson, SR., of St. Louis, MO and Lori Johnson of St. Louis, MO; 8 grandchildren, David, Tony, Danielle, Danny Jr., Tyler, Keegan, Amanda and Jacob; 11 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; brother, Claudie Johnson of Ozark, AR; sisters, Ouita Smith and Joyce Gould of St. Louis, MO; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
