Obituary:

James G. Miller, 71 of Cabool, MO passed away on August 12, 2020. He was born on February 28, 1949 in Willow Springs, MO to Jesse and Fern (Brown) Miller. He attended school in both Willow Springs and Cabool, graduating from Cabool with the class of 1967.

James proudly served his county with the US Army from 1969 to 1976. Aside from his time serving in the Army, he remained in Cabool. He worked at Y Tires for many years before starting his trucking career.

On November 13, 1968, James married Vickie Matlock and to this union one daughter, Bethany was born.

On May 7, 1974, James married Maria De Gracia and to this union one daughter, Jamminy and one son, Dennis were born.

James remarried Vickie in January 2012.

James was raised in the Baptist faith and was baptized in his youth, later he attended Abundant Life Church and was baptized again in 1984. In recent years, he attended Westside Family Life Center in Willow Springs when his trucking schedule permitted. James served as a member of the Board for Sargent Township and he was a long-time member of the Older Iron Club.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, high school football, watching the KC Chiefs play, telling and swapping stories, especially at the "table of knowledge" at the L.A. Cafe. J ames had a resolve for any problem, the hotshot.

His memory will be carried forth by all that loved him and those blessed enough to know him.

James was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Harold. He leaves behind his wife, Vickie of the family home; daughters, Bethany Miller of Cabool, Jamminy McCrosky and husband, Vince of Cabool; son, Dennis Miller of Springfield; grandson, D. Christopher Lewis of Branson; granddaughter, Hannah McCrosky of Cabool and Alex McCrosky of Bentonville, AR; great granddaughters, Brooklyn Lewis of Cabool and Weilynn Lewis of Pomona; 7 step grandchildren; brothers, Ralph Miller and wife, Brenda of Cabool, Jerry Miller of Bono, AR, Lonnie Miller and wife, Karen of Cabool and Ronald Miller and wife, Melodie of Mtn. Grove; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
