Obituary:

James "Jim" Nelson Pearson, 83 of Cabool, MO passed away on Monday, May 12, 2021 at Cox Medical Center South in Springfield, MO. He was born on December 14, 1937 in Arcadia, MO the son of Jesse and Flora (Lashley) Pearson.

Jim served in both the US Air Force and the Navy, while stationed in San Diego, CA he met Earlene Carver and they were united in marriage on July 7, 1967 in Chula Vista, CA.

Jim worked for AT&T from 1966 until his retirement in 1993, soon after retirement they moved back to Cabool where he lived until his passing.

Jim enjoyed hunting, trapping, fishing and anything to do with the outdoors. He enjoyed spending time with his grandkids and great grandkids teaching them about nature.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents; daughter-in-law, Renee Pearson; two sisters, Ann and Jean and a great grandson, Dakota Snyder. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Earlene; two sons, Randy Pearson of Cabool and Mike Pearson of Branson West; a brother, Bob and his wife, Paula of California; three children from a previous marriage; his grandchildren, Kristy (Pearson) Bellingroehr of Cabool and Ryan Pearson of Dora; great grandchildren, Drew Curtis of Plato, Gunnar Pearson and Avah Pearson of Cabool; great great grandchildren, Colton and Aubrey Curtis of Plato. He will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
