Obituary:

James Thomas Reed, 75 of Cabool, MO passed away on April 4, 2016 at the Willow Care Nursing Home after battling cancer. He was born on June 4, 1940 in Cabool, MO the son of the late Tom and Daisy (Richardson) Reed.

James was a salesman for Coca-Cola in Wichita, KS, owned Reed's Distributing in Cabool and owned and operated his own trucks for many years until retirement. He enjoyed visiting family and friends, watching his grandchildren grow and sitting on his from porch telling stories.

James was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Roscoe and Roy Reed and sisters, Lois Reed, Mildred Reed and Peggy Bauer. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, W. Aleene (Rackley) Reed; his daughter, Julie Bartine and husband, David of Katy, TX; his son, Rick Reed of Cabool, MO; grandchildren, Pierce and Chloe Bartine and Brantley Reed; his brother, Clinton Reed of Cabool, MO; as well  as a host of other family members and close friends.  He will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
