Obituary:

James Barry Rockwell, 73 of Elk Creek, MO passed away on Oct. 28, 2014 at his home in Elk Creek, MO. He was born on Aug. 6, 1941 in Chicago, IL the son of Jack and Marietta Rockwell.

He was a retired Chicago Fire Department Engineer Local 2 and served in that capacity for 26 years. James' experience as a retired Chicago Fireman served him well as Assistant Chief at Tyrone Fire Department for 10 years. James loved his family, firefighting and golfing.

James is survived by his wife, Ruthann Rockwell; his brother, Thomas E. Rockwell; his daughters, Kimberly A. Harfert and Lauren L. Hamsley; his son, James B. Rockwell; his sons-in-law, Craig A. Harfert and Christopher D. Hamsley; six grandchildren and one great grandchild. He will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him.
