Obituary:

Jesse Arthur Pearcy, 90 of Cabool, MO passed away on Sunday, January 18, 2015 at the Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston, MO. He was born on November 22, 1924 near the community of Roubidoux, MO the son of John Martin and Julie Maggie (Blessing) Pearcy. The Pearcy family was originally from the state of Virginia.

Jesse had two brothers, Charles and James and three sisters, Gladys, Mai and Julie. The children attended school at Prairie Point School in Roubidoux. As a boy, Jesse liked to play baseball. He loved horses and even trained one to do tricks.

After graduating from Plato High School in 1945, Jesse attended Southern Missouri State in Springfield, MO. He taught two terms in Texas County, Missouri schools. He was then employed at the Brown Shoe factory in Houston and also worked for a time at Boeing Aircraft in Wichita, KS.

Jesse returned to the family farm at Roubidoux, where he raised cattle. He lived on the farm until 1991 when he retired and moved to Cabool. He worked for 4 ½ years as a crossing guard for the Cabool Schools. In his later years, Jesse worked as a volunteer for the Cabool Senior Center where he did a lovely job on the outside flowers and landscaping.

He will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
