Mrs. Jessie Moorhead, 80 a long time resident of Cabool, MO went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2010 at the Willow Care Nursing Home in Willow Springs, MO after an 11 month battle with lung cancer. She was born on June 10, 1930 in Bledsoe, TX the daughter of Alvin Vernon and Minnie Mae (Gunn) Jackson.
Jessie was united in marriage to William Wayne Moorhead and to this union four children were born. She was a homemaker, taking care of her family on the farm south of Cabool for 56 years. She was a member of the neighborhood ladies club. She enjoyed working on the farm, spending time with her husband and children and visiting with neighbors. She was a very good cook as well. Jessie had accepted the Lord as her Savior.
Jessie was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin Vernon and Minnie Mae Jackson; her husband, William Wayne Moorhead; two brothers, Kenneth and Conley Jackson and one sister, Dortha Jackson McCraw. She is survived by her two sons, Dwayne Moorhead and Layne Moorhead and wife, Cozy all of Cabool, MO; two daughters, Lois (Lyssa) Watkins and husband, John of Newport, OR and Patsy Coen and husband, Alfred of Mtn. Grove, MO; five grandchildren, Patrick Moorhead and wife, Elizabeth, Delayna Talbot of Opp, AL, Delvana Moorhead of West Plains, MO, Adam Coen of Kansas and Joshua Coen and wife, Kelly of Mtn. Grove, MO; four great grandchildren, Tommy, David and P.J. Moorhead of Cabool, MO and Trinity Brown of Opp, AL. She will be missed by her family and friends. She went to be with the best friend anyone could have; the Lord, Jesus Christ.
