Obituary:

Jimmy Wayne Clark, son of Cecil A and Ruby J (Sink) Clark was born on April 7, 1949 near Ava, MO and departed this life on January 19, 2019 a the age of 69 years, 9 months and 12 days.

Jim accepted the Lord at a young age and while he didn't regularly attend church, he believed in the power of the Holy Spirit and looked to the day when he would be reunited with his parents, especially his mother, having lost her when he was only 10 years old.

From the age of 10 he was raised by his grandmother in the Kingsburg, CAarea and in 1969 received his draft notice to serve his country in the Vietnam War.  This was an experience that was to forever change the young man he was.  After being seriously injured and spending many months in the base hospital at Fort Ord, CA he returned to Missouri which was always home to him.

On January 20, 1984 he was united in marriage to Karla Beth Hanna and they were one day short of their 35th aniversary on his passing.  Two daughters were born to this union.

Jim loved his family and would give a friend the shirt off his back if they needed it.  His greatest pleasures in life were hunting, fishing and watching a good western.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Ruby Clark; infant sister, Wanda May; a brother, Billy Clark Strong and a sister, Freda Clark Remmer.  He is survived by his wife, Karla of the home; daughters, Krysten Hicks and husband, Dustin and Ashleigh Cornelius and husband, Calvin; two grandsons, Brayden and Deven Cornelius; seven granddaughters, Alexandria and Taylor Hicks, Lydia, na Taleigh, Madison, Raylee and Maggie Cornelius all of the Cabool area; two brothers, Lester Clark of Cabool and CJ Clark of Springfield, MO; six sisters, Wilma Horn and husband, Ed, Donna Atchison and husband, Noel, Shirley Vinson and husband, Tom all of Ava, MO , Joyce Rainey of Ozark, MO, Linda Neel of Ava and Judy Golden of Branson; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
